Well I went and saw my OBGYN doctor yesterday and was pretty surprised when he told me that I was only a little more dilated then I was last week. I was surprised because I was having occasional contractions........not braxton hicks but the real deal.
Well as it turns out my doctor feels that due to my anatomy, it is unlikely that I will go into labour anytime soon and that I really needed to proceed with the c-section. So, I have committed to the date of Sept. 23rd!
Which means that this weekend is our last weekend to get any and all things done before baby Burt #2 arrives. So I guess we will be BUSY BUSY BUSY!
But more importantly we plan on spending oodles of time with our darling little girl who is soon to have her world changed by becoming a big sister! I just hope that she adjusts well to all of this. So far she is so very excited by all of what is to come.
If you have any pointers or comments for us to help Renae with the adjustment to come I would love to hear it!
More soon!
Relax and be natural. I found that I was the issue in the adjustment with Jake when Dylan came home. I was sooo worried and worked up about how he would adjust that I ended up feeling very stressed our the first few days. I was worried about him being jealous over gifts for the baby my time with the baby having to wait because I was busy with the baby etc.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't until I realized that he was taking the adjustment better then I and just let life continue that things felt "normal" again. So she will be just fine and more interested in the new baby then being accommodated. You just need to keep yourself relaxed, the only time the adjustment will be difficult is if she sees you stressed out. So get your rest take deep breaths keep things normal and enjoy. So, that is my sisterly advise. I love ya now go and bring me another beautiful.....niece....or ... nephew!
